Meet Your Supervisor

Dana Southerland


Dana Southerland is a lifelong resident of Taylor County and is married
with three grown children. She was elected in August 2008 to serve as
Supervisor of Elections for Taylor County and is currently serving her
third term. Prior to being elected she worked in the elections office and the
Clerk of Court. She has almost thirty years of employment with Taylor
County Government.

Education and Certifications:

         State of Florida Certified Supervisor of Elections
         Master Florida Certified Elections Professional (MFCEP)
         Certified Elections/Registration Administrator (CERA)
         Graduate of Taylor County High School
         Over 1,500 hours of instructional election related classes, 
         seminars and conferences

Accomplishments since taking office:

  • Has assisted in registering over 500 high school students to vote
  • Implemented the Vote in Honor of a Vet program for Taylor County (currently displaying 285 of our honored Veterans)
